In this critical final phase of the process, we collectively reap
the benefits of collaboration, visioning, careful and accurate
budgeting, and design detail that we and our clients have steadfastly
adhered to along the way. Communication and facilitation, thanks in
part to the BIM modeling, allows us to convey to the general contractor
the design intent for the project in no uncertain terms.
Our approach to Construction Administration is defined by
responsible, qualitative oversight undergirded by a commitment to
opening channels of communication between all stakeholders – Owner,
Architect and General Contractor remain in constant communication and
together “make it happen”.
Sustainable Design:
As construction commences it is imperative that all project
stakeholders continue to actively engage in a collaborative, open
minded dialogue. Open channels of communication are vital to the CA
process. Tobin Starr + Partners understands that these requirements encompass
all aspects of the construction administration process, including the
oversight of the sustainability initiative. Our team remains actively
engaged in the assessment and documentation of all the aspects of the
sustainability effort throughout the CA process. We are there to assist
the contractor and commissioning agent with the submittal process as
well as to address any questions or complications that may arise. Our
goal is to assure that the project assumptions assembled at the
beginning of the project are validated and implemented, and done so in
the most efficient and cost effective fashion.

- Setup CA notebook
- Complete bid process and evaluation
- Complete construction contracts
- Pre-construction meeting
- Architect-contractor drawing coordination meeting
- Process RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay apps, etc.
- Site observation and project process and schedule monitoring
- Post-occupancy evaluation
- Completed facility
- Assist GC and Cx (Commissioning Agent) with submittal requirements
- Monitor LEED Certification Status with USGBC
