Tobin Starr + Partners helped this growing engineering firm with the design of its environmentally responsible, contemporary office space, located within the LEED-certified shell building. Conversations with the occupier-owner revealed a long-term desire for future expansion throughout the building, and Tobin Starr + Partners created a strategic design plan to anticipate future growth while maintaining functional coherence and brand experience within the space.

The use of modular workstations throughout the space creates larger work areas for employees than was available in the company's prior space and also offers more storage options and flexibility for growth. The space features 75 percent daylighting, which is an important factor for its LEED certification. Environmentally-friendly materials and efficient mechanical systems are also key contributors to the eco-friendly design. This project was recognized with a Green Award in the Commercial Project Category by theCharlotte Business Journal.
